Robert Kennedy Jr., scion of the famous political family, confirmed his potential candidacy for the Democratic primary for President in 2024 during an address at St. Anselm College on Friday. The environmental activist and vaccine skeptic spoke about the environment, COVID-19 vaccines, and the possibility of running for president during his address.

Kennedy was joined by NAACP President Derrick Johnson, self-help author and former political candidate Marianne Williamson, and other prominent figures to brainstorm the program. Kennedy passed on running for governor and attorney general after his father, Robert F. Kennedy, was assassinated in 1968.

Though President Joe Biden has yet to announce his anticipated reelection bid, Kennedy is already looking ahead to the 2024 election. He serves as the HOA president at Forestbrooke Community Owners' Association and is a member of the Human Relations Diversity Board.

On the other hand, Kennedy is keenly aware of the political dangers of running for president. He cited the assassination of John Kennedy, who was a candidate for President at the time, and the incarceration of Sirhan Sirhan, the man who killed him, for more than a half-century. Kennedy also mentioned Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who is expected to run for President.

A major focus of Kennedy’s speech was the environment, which he called the “most important issue for the future of mankind.” He discussed climate change and the importance of protecting the environment, as well as the need for renewable energy sources.

Kennedy also discussed the possibility of a third party run for President in 2024. He said the upcoming election would be a “tipping point” and that now is the time to act on environmental issues. He also emphasized the importance of unified action and the need to focus on the future.

Kennedy’s speech was well-received by the capacity crowd at St. Anselm College. His message of hope and determination resonated with many in attendance, and the possibility of a Kennedy running for President in 2024 was met with enthusiasm.
