President Joe Biden is visiting Las Vegas today to raise funds for the Democratic National Committee and to deliver a speech. The President arrived in Las Vegas on Air Force One, which departed from North Island Naval Air Station in San Diego. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has warned of “significant disruptions” to commuters due to the President’s visit.
Before coming to Las Vegas, President Biden gave a speech in Monterey Park, California. He is expected to speak about his plans to lower prescription drug costs during his speech in Las Vegas. President Biden was also seen shaking hands with Brandon Tsay as he arrived at Los Angeles International Airport on Tuesday.
The President’s visit to Las Vegas comes on the heels of his attendance at the funeral of former President Jimmy Carter. President Biden announced that he will be delivering the eulogy at the former president’s funeral. Additionally, he met with the Prime Ministers of the United Kingdom and Australia in San Diego to discuss important international issues.
