(WHTM) – Pennsylvania voters will have a chance to vote for their next Treasurer in 2024. Two Democrats are running to face incumbent Republican Stacy Garrity in the upcoming election. Ryan Bizzarro and Erin McClelland are running for the Democratic nomination for Pennsylvania state treasurer. The winner faces incumbent Stacy Garrity in the general election.

With the party's endorsement meeting just over six weeks away, three Democrats from different corners of the commonwealth are looking to secure their spot on the ballot. Democratic state Rep. Ryan Bizzarro and Republican incumbent Stacy Garrity are sparring over the best way to return unclaimed property as part of their campaign platforms.

A Democratic Pennsylvania state lawmaker announced Tuesday that he will run for treasurer in 2024, positioning himself as an ideological challenger to the current Republican administration. Treasurer Stacy Garrity is the only Republican on the April 23 primary ballot, while Democrats will decide between Ryan Bizzarro and Erin McClelland.

Ryan Bizzarro, born on November 13, 1985, and residing in Millcreek Township, Erie County, is a Democrat with a background in Criminal Justice and Political Science. His education includes an Associate's degree in Criminal Justice and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Edinboro University.

Eric Settle will be the party's nominee for attorney general, while Chris Foster is running for Treasurer. The Pennsylvania Forward Party has a big day scheduled for Tuesday with events to introduce its candidates for Attorney General and State Treasurer.
