Former president Jimmy Carter, the 39th president of the United States, was born on October 1, 1924 in rural Georgia. Growing up in a modest environment, Carter developed a strong sense of duty and service to others from an early age. After graduating from the United States Naval Academy in 1946, he served in the Navy and later returned to Georgia to take over his family's peanut farm business.

Jimmy Carter served as the 39th President of the United States from 1977 to 1981. He was awarded the 2002 Nobel Peace Prize for his work to find peaceful solutions to international conflicts, promote democracy, and advance human rights. Carter's presidency was marked by efforts to promote energy conservation, environmental protection, and social justice.

He later turned to diplomacy and advocacy, founding The Carter Center in 1982 with his late wife, Rosalynn. For these efforts, he was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 1999. The Carter Center has been instrumental in promoting democracy, mediating conflicts, and advancing human rights around the world.

Jimmy Carter's grandson said Tuesday that the 99-year-old 39th president of the United States “is coming to the end” but that he joked about outliving all his predecessors. Despite his advanced age and health issues, Carter remains active in his advocacy work and continues to inspire others with his dedication to service.

The 39th POTUS couldn't refrain from attacking those who followed him to the White House. Carter has been a vocal critic of subsequent administrations, particularly on issues related to foreign policy, human rights, and environmental protection. Despite his advanced age, he remains committed to speaking out on important issues and advocating for positive change.

Jimmy Carter's grandson, Jason Carter, gave an update about the former president in a video released on Friday. He shared that Carter continues to be in good spirits and remains active in his advocacy work. Jason Carter expressed gratitude for the outpouring of support and well wishes for his grandfather.

A year since The Carter Center announced that former US President Jimmy Carter was receiving end-of-life hospice care, Carter continues to defy the odds. Despite his health challenges, Carter remains resilient and determined to make a positive impact on the world. His legacy of diplomacy, advocacy, and service continues to inspire others to work towards a better future.

Carter has been receiving hospice care at his home in Plains, Georgia since Feb. 18, 2023. The former president battled several health issues, including cancer and a series of falls. Despite these challenges, Carter's determination and resilience have been a source of inspiration for many. His commitment to serving others and promoting peace remains unwavering.
