Joe Biden's bid for re-election in 2021 is a major issue on the minds of many. With the previous election cycle proving to be a highly contested and ultimately successful endeavor for the Democratic Party, Biden is now looking to solidify his position as the leader of the free world.

In Washington, President Biden presented retired Army Col. Chris Kolenda as an example of why Republicans should stick with him in the next election. Biden argued that Kolenda’s service in Afghanistan and Iraq was a demonstration of his commitment to the country’s national security. This is becoming a major theme in Biden’s re-election bid, as he has promised to strengthen the nation’s military and intelligence capabilities.

In addition to national security, Biden is also focusing on other issues such as gun laws, labor rights, and international relations. President Biden officially announced his intention to nominate Julie Su for Secretary of Labor. Su currently serves as the Deputy Secretary, and her nomination is seen as an attempt to expand labor rights in the United States.

Biden is also highlighting his commitment to the environment and international relations. He has promised to work with global allies to tackle climate change, and has also promised to focus on diplomacy and the pursuit of a nuclear-free world. If re-elected, Biden would be in his mid-80s when he leaves the Oval Office.

The 2020 election also saw the rise of Vice President Kamala Harris as a major political figure. Harris is incredibly popular with African American voters, and this was an important part of Biden’s coalition during the 2020 election. She is likely to play an even larger role in Biden’s re-election bid, as her presence on the ticket is seen as a major asset.

However, Biden’s bid for re-election is not without its challenges. One particular challenge is the growing number of lawsuits that cite baseless 2020 election fraud claims to call for the court to oust from office hundreds of elected officials, including Biden. These lawsuits are seen as a major threat to the democratic process, and Biden has vowed to fight them in court.

In addition to the legal challenges, Biden is also facing opposition from labor unions. A North Carolina native, Ray Curry was elected President of the UAW on June 28, 2021, by the International Executive Board upon the retirement of UAW President Dennis Williams. Curry has been critical of Biden’s policy prescriptions, particularly when it comes to the economy and labor rights.

Finally, Biden is also facing criticism from Republicans in Congress. In an interview with Fox Business, Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel criticized Biden’s policies, saying “We must reverse President Biden's war on American workers. It is the responsibility of Congress—the elected representatives of the people—to provide that oversight.”

Joe Biden’s bid for re-election in 2021 is a major issue, and it will have a major impact on the future of the United States. Biden is focusing on issues such as national security, gun laws, labor rights, and international relations, as he seeks to solidify his position as the leader of the free world.
