Welcome to this edition of the Weekly Political Compass from Teneo's political risk advisory team! This week, we are taking a closer look at the political biases embedded within artificial intelligence (AI) models and how they impact the results of the popular political compass test.

We asked the hot new AI models from OpenAI, Meta, and Google to take four popular political quizzes, eager to uncover any underlying biases. The results were intriguing, as it became evident that the AI model selected significantly influenced the test-taker's political leaning. New research explains that you'll get more right- or left-wing answers depending on which AI model you ask.

AI models have long been criticized for biases, and this study sheds light on how these biases manifest in political assessments. The implications are far-reaching, as these AI models are increasingly being used to interpret and analyze political opinions on a wide scale.

One interesting finding was the impact of an individual's outlook on the role of government in their attitude toward Bitcoin, a decentralized revolution. Bitcoin itself may be apolitical, but an individual's perspective on government involvement often informs their stance on this digital currency.
